III School for young scientists "Magnetic Resonance and Magnetic Phenomena in Chemical and Biological Physics" will be held on 7-11 September 2014 in the Academgorodok (Academy town) of Novosibirsk, Russia. Students, PhD students and young scientists from different fields of magnetic resonance are invited to participate in the School. The program will include invited lectures, oral talks by young scientists, a poster session and practical tutorials on working with modern pulse EPR and NMR spectrometers. Scientific sessions will be held at the Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion; accommodation will be reserved in the walking distance from the School venue. There will be no registration fee for the School for young scientists. The book of abstracts will be published. Working language is English. In addition, an after-school trip to Baikal Lake 12-17 September is planned.
Scope
- Basics of magnetic resonance (theory and basics of EPR and NMR methods)
- Advanced methods of magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging
- Applications of magnetic resonance
- Spin chemistry
The lectures will start with general introduction to the subject followed by description of the advanced experimental methods and actual problems to be solved with their help.
